We also enjoyed shopping in the gift shop on site. The staff we encountered were polite, although there didn’t seem to be many staff present. Let’s start with the good… they have a beautiful pool and large pool deck. I do not have photos, but trust my review. If my husband was not with us I probably would have baled.

regrettably, and I don't like to be judemental, but a lot of of seedy characters. They allow smoking on balconies and outdoors, so cigarette smoke is wafting through the air. My kids were really apprehensive about staying, and if we were planning more than one night I would absolutely not have stayed. Cracks in walls and doors, the slider to the balcony was almost impossible to open, the shelves in the kitchenette were damaged and there was a random bucket in the one above the fridge.

The stairwells and elevators were dirty and full ff garbage. The furniture was likely the original, and the property is quite old. From the moment we walked in and were (not) greeted by the front desk staff we suspected this would not be a place we would return. We figured it was not going to be luxurious based in the price, but this hotel is in pretty bad shape. We booked a room for one night as we were attending the Polynesian fire luau show located at the property. Watch your stuff and your kids!!! If you don't mind all that, and the musty 60yr old smell of a hotel with run down "cargo" elevators have a nice stay! More Show less The beach access is not locked either so any homeless, vagrants etc can walk anywhere they want on the property any time they please. No lifeguard at the pool so anything goes really, TIki bar has one person working his as* off to keep up with drunks ordering food, demanding drinks etc. Meanwhile you have the pool area where, everyone smokes, including pot, most of the older overweight people who have "condos" here smoke on their balconies as well. The front desk staff with the exception of the two young women who work occasionally, either hate their job, would rather talk on the phone or stay in the back room watching tv, and the dark skinned larger desk clerk is just rude and won't even look at people. The cops show up on a semi regular basis in regard to homeless people and such. The parking lot and lobby are open to the public for use of the pool and beach, so scratch the "resort" part of the name.

This is a dump! I get the whole nostalgic 60's look etc.
